15+ years building things for the web, mostly at Drama Queen Communications*. One week a luxury villa booking platform, the next a 3D product configurator, the next a campaign site for the Moomins.

The work I find most interesting tends to involve either unusual technical constraints, a real integration challenge, or a brief that needed translating before it could be built. That last part is where I seem to do my best work.

Honorable mentions

Most of my work stays behind the scenes, but a few projects have received recognition. I built the backend and location-data system for Kiss My Turku, which won Finnish Web Awards Gold and Best UI Design in 2020. Our Atelier Torbjörn Tillander filter was shortlisted for Vuoden Huiput/Grand One in 2021. Drama Queen also published a 2024 case study on our seven years building booking platforms for Villada, Mökkivuokra, and Hideout Villas.

Lately I've been using AI tools to automate the repetitive parts of my work, including building Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to connect them to the services I use.

React, Vite, Next and JS/TypeScript for frontend. Laravel or Node.js on the backend. Custom bash scripts when it does the job. Three.js when something needs to be three-dimensional and interesting.

I also make visual experiments. Some could bring that little extra™ to any project. Some are just for fun.

I'm up for a new challenge. That could be a freelance project, a part-time role, or something we figure out together. I like getting involved while there's still a problem to work through, before everything has become a list of things to build.
